I have seen several posts on others' blogs about an amazing cleaning product called Citrasolv. However, the posts weren't talking about how well it cleaned, but how great it is for craft projects!
I LOVE linen pillows and grainsack pillows, etc. and have been amazed by all the beautiful pillows available on etsy and that I have seen in blogland. I thought they must have a screen printing machine or something to get all the beautiful designs on the fabrics. (The ones below may be...) But you can get this look with just some Citrasolv and elbow grease!
(I can't for the life of me remember where I got those 2 photos- if they are yours or you know where they are from, please let me know!)
Citrasolv acts as a solvent and works as an ink transfer agent. It is so easy to use and creates beautiful projects when you finish!
Click below for my tutorial on how to do a Citrasolv transfer.
I have already transferred a design onto my bag I'm going to use when I go to our local Community Market to get fresh produce, and to make some cute things for my bridesmaids :) Here is a sneak peek to the finished product of my market bag. I found the graphic at The Graphics Fairy.
I am planning to use the Citrasolv technique to make all kinds of neat homemade Christmas presents this year. I'll share those after Christmas though- don't want to ruin the surprise! (UPDATE: To see the pillows I made for Christmas gifts, click here)
If you want to make your own transfers, look for Citrasolv at your local health food store. I purchased mine at our health food store and it cost about $12 for a bottle. But that bottle will last forever because you don't hardly use any for the transfer. It is so much fun and easy to do these transfers- hope you enjoy!
