Settlers of Catan

Have you heard of the game Settlers of Catan?  It is by far the most fun board game I have ever played. I was introduced to this game in college, and we have played this game so much in the last year!

It is a game full of strategy and makes you think- I love those kind!  I would highly recommend it to you!  (It is a little expensive but it is worth it!)

My brother recently bought the two expansion packs for the game- Seafarers, and Cities & Knights.  We have played them both this weekend and they make the game even more fun!

The expansion packs make it pretty intense, with lots of pieces and cards, but it is a lot of fun!

This week we are taking our students to camp in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I am praying fervently for life change, relationship building, and safety.

If it comes to mind, say a pray for our students that they will draw closer to the Lord and each other.

Magnolia Bakery- Chicago

One of my favorite places we visited while in Chicago was Magnolia Bakery.  They have 4 locations worldwide and I found them via Pinterest.  The design of this sweet little shop is beautiful and shabby chic!

The sweet treats were yummy!  I got banana pudding and Jeremy got banana cream pie.  Super delicious!

Even their chairs were cute!

Our 1st Anniversary

Monday was our one year anniversary and we spent it in Chicago, IL.  We've been visiting Jeremy's family this week (and fly home tomorrow), and we went and stayed the night in the city for our anniversary.

We had such a wonderful time!  We enjoyed shopping on the Magnificent Mile (or more so State Street -not as fancy!), eating at a Brazilian steakhouse (Texas de Brazil), walking around the parks, seeing the Buckingham fountain lightshow, and much much more!

I'll post some more about our trip and our anniversary in the next few days!

This year has been one of twists and turns and the Lord has guided us into HIS plan all along the way.  I am thankful to have a godly husband who loves and cares for me, and leads our family in the way of the Lord.  Jeremy, I love you with all of my heart and am so looking forward to a lifetime of anniversaries with you!
