Wedding Decor and Detail Pictures

First off this week, I'd like to share some photos of our wedding decor and details.  Our reception was held at Watermark Marina in Wilmington, NC and I think it was a great casual reception with small touches of beachy decor.  Enjoy these photos of the some of our decor from the reception!



What We've Been Up To

I have felt disconnected from the world this past week.  We still don't have internet in the new house, so I've not been able to blog or read blogs, or go on Pinterest, or really do anything that normally fills up my free time :) 

We've been busy moving boxes and furniture and unloading and unpacking and setting up home.  Nesting as I like to call it.  I love it.  I'm hoping to get the final load of stuff from my parents house to move over today, and while I'm here I'm trying to write up some blog posts for this week. 

We're enjoying the new house and especially having somewhere of our own.  I have yet to take pictures because it's been in a pretty constant state of mess, but I promise I'll put some up this coming week.  Until then, I got our professional wedding photos back this week and I want to share some with you over the next couple of days!  

I was excited to see some new followers when I logged on to blogger today!  Welcome, so glad to have you here in our little slice of blogland!  I'm usually a much more regular poster, and as soon as we get the internet hooked up I'll be back- I promise! 

Well...the Day Has Finally Come

I'm almost scared to write this because I don't want to jinx anything, but we should be able to begin moving in our new place tonight!  I am meeting the landlord in about thirty minutes to sign the lease, pay the deposit, and get the keys.  WHOO HOO!!!  I'm so excited and so ready to begin setting up house with Jeremy.  This is a day I've longed for for so long.  I can't explain how happy I am that it is finally here.  I posted pictures of the outside of the duplex earlier in the week, but as promised I'd love to take you on a quick tour of our first home!

I took these pictures when we first walked through and they aren't very good but hey, if you're curious they'll do until we start having things to take pictures of inside the house :)

Oh how I can't wait to get all our wedding present FINALLY unpacked and get to working making it ours.  It's gonna be a fun week.

We won't have internet for a while at the new house, so new posts may have to wait a little, but I'll be back soon to share the progress of the move!

Hopeful

This weekend I'm hopeful that we will finally find a place of our own to live.  I've got a list of possibilities and we're ready to roll!  Hoping things work out soon for a good place in a good neighborhood.  Keep your fingers crossed that a good news post will be up next week :)

Today my mom and I went and looked at a duplex apartment after I got off work.  Jeremy is still working so he wasn't able to go, but I took pictures so he can see it too :).  I really like this apartment, there is a HUGE living room and it is very reasonably priced.  We're suppose to find out tomorrow if someone who looked at it before us is going to take it.  If not, maybe we'll be moving in :)  Here's a look at the outside, I'll save inside pictures for if we actually get the place.

House Tour- Bedroom

This past weekend Jeremy and I stayed at my grandparents house while they are away on vacation out West.  My grandmother and I share a lot of the same taste in decorating and I love their house.  While we were there I took some photos and this week I’ll be sharing some of those with you!

“My” room at their house is this beautiful upstairs bedroom.  My grandmother and I picked out the furniture and décor together when I was in high school, and it was such a fun project.  I’ll let the photos speak for themselves about the room…. 


























*The majority of the furniture and accessories are from Pottery Barn. The bedding was ordered from the interior design shop where my grandmother use to work. 

Lukas and Amie's Wedding

Yesterday I posted about the monogram pillow that I made for my friends Lukas and Amie's wedding.   Lukas and I have been friends since before we even began kindergarten, and I was so happy to see him get married to his sweet and beautiful bride Amie last Saturday.

They were married at Twigs Tempietto in Greenville, SC.  it is a beautiful garden setting and was the perfect venue for a wedding.

When Amie came out Lukas lost it, and then I lost it.  He's gonna kill me for this picture, but I think it is so sweet. 

I wish I had a clearer picture of Amie and her stunning dress!  But you can still see that she is a beautiful bride!  I loved that her mom walked her down the aisle.  So sweet.

Lukas' grandfather performed the ceremony and it was so special.  

After lighting the unity candle, I love that the bride and groom prayed together... 

and then had their bridal party surround them and pray for them.
