My Classroom 2012-2013

Next Monday is the start of school here- which means I start my job as a special education teacher!

I've worked all summer to get my classroom ready.  Here are some pictures- they were taken on my iphone so you'll have to excuse the quality of some.

If you go through that door there is a small little office.  This is a great space to have to work on IEPs!

So there you have it!  My classroom for the 2012-2013 year.

Make the Most of your Mornings @ Money Saving Mom

Money Saving Mom is one of my favorite blogs- a daily read for inspiration, money saving tips and deals.  Crystal is so great at organization and setting goals, and I've learned so much from reading her blog!

She is doing a great series right now called "Making the Most of your Mornings".  If you feel that your mornings could be more productive, I encourage you to check it out.  The tips she is sharing will help me make this transition to teaching and beginning my master's degree a bit more manageable.  I'm learning to be careful with my time!

Getting to Work

This week is my first official week as a new teacher- I start professional development this morning and have new teacher training next week.  Then the work days begin!  I'll be honest, I'm a bit nervous, but excited at the same time.  I've been busy setting up my classroom this summer.  Here are a few sneak peaks from some instagram photos I took yesterday...

I'm going with a blue, green, and black theme.  I'll have more photos to share when I get finished with everything :)

The Thrill of the Hunt

I've said it before  (here and here), but one of my favorite things about the beach is looking for sharks' teeth.  

We're at the beach this week, and here is what I've been up to...

I found this tooth on Sunday, and it is the biggest of the week so far.  It's all about the thrill of the hunt :)
